Climate Home News reports that despite the challenges of covid-19, Jamaica has submitted ambitious goals and measures to combat climate breakdown.
Jamaica’s increased efforts promise to make big reductions in the energy and forestry sector. Many Jamaican’s rely on the the good health of the climate with the agricultural and fishery industries being widespread across the island.
So far only 11 nations have submitted updated proposals to the UN. These nations however, only account for 2.9% of global emissions.
